Barbara Sylvain
Born in Angers and grew up in the Boulonnais region of northern France.
Studied international law but then left this clearly mapped out path for the theatre.
Was drawn to the theatre of movement and trained at the Ecole Lassaad in Brussels (J. Lecocq method).
Involved in various production projects.
Performed solos and duos combining video and sound.
Produced Mémoires vives, an in-situ creative event, with the visual artist Val Le Dourner.
Performed and worked in theatre and dance with Oriol Gonzalez, Laure Bourghnecht, Davis Freeman, Jean-François Noville, Claude Enuset, Ariane Buhbinder, Craig Weston, Katia Ponomavera.
Works with the Centre Dramatique pour la Wallonie l’Enfance et la Jeunesse on education schemes taking the theatre into schools.
Co-founded the company Oh my god in 2010 with Lula Béry, with whom she created It’s so nice.
